I've got a set of Thunderbucker 66 in that bass now and they're really pretty similar to those 2001 TB+.

I need to compare my 2001 and Cataldo to see how similar they sound.

Renfield was a fun movie! Probably Nick Cage's best work in a while.

A lovely little song by a couple of lovely Japanse girls.

I think that just gave me a couple of seizures.  :o :o

Here is a Sea Hags video that features an ebony Bird.

I think these seem like nice basses. Pickguard leaves me a little indifferent to it, but the guard would not keep me from buying one if I played it and liked it.

After searching off and on for years for a real '76 PG for my Fenderbird, this one popped up suddenly on Andy's Thunderbird FB page.
It's in my hands now!

Glad that worked out for you Denis!!!

Go here and scroll down to see the Unmudbucker mounted in his bass. I'm not sure I could get used to that look! And if you have a '70 or later EB-0/EB-3, you'd see the much larger cavity with the corner screws of the cover being part of the height adjusting mechanism, instead of screwing directly into the wood.

I had asked Jerry about building a pickup in an Epi MudBucker housing and he was willing to do that. It would have knocked a few bucks of the cost  to send him the parts. I don't think I could get past the look of the clear pickup cover.

Speaking of, this looks pretty nice, though i don't know what "TV Pelham blue" is. I guess because you can kind of see the wood grain?

The TV Pelham Blue was a finish similar to TV yellow that seemed like a lightly coated metallic Pelham Blue. At least that was how it looked on the Firebird Studio that I had. You could see the wood grain thru the finish, at least to some extent. They also made a TV Silver version, at least of the Thunderbirds.
