Bicentennial PickGuard in house!
« on: October 12, 2018, 10:18:29 AM »
After searching off and on for years for a real '76 PG for my Fenderbird, this one popped up suddenly on Andy's Thunderbird FB page.
It's in my hands now!

Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

Congrats on the find! I'm really hoping the new Gibson releases another T-bird with a similar pickguard in 2026 for the Sestercentennial. Fingers crossed.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Why do you need a real '76 PG for a Fenderbird?

It would be really cool if they did. Little details like that are really cool.

Because mine is a '76 Thunderbird that suffered a catastrophic neck break in NYC in the '70s and was subsequently turned into a Fenderbird.
