I could put this in the guitar section, but it's not really meant to be about gear.

Moneygrubbing Janie Hendrix the Hendrix family is putting out its own "authorized" line of Jimi Hendrix Strat-type guitars -- and they will be made by Gibson or its subsidiaries.  ??? :o  That's right, Gibson. Because everyone associates Jimi's Strat with Gibson, right? :rolleyes:

I just noticed, Most Online today was 115 at 7:36 AM (my time). That's over three times the previous high, and from a quick scan, it looks like it must have been almost all guests.

Did somebody link something here on Twitter or Facebook? I don't think it's a software glitch.

The Bass Zone / Those Darlins bassist -- is this a Gretsch?

I recently became aware of Those Darlins, whose debut album came out a few months ago. Their single "Wild One" has gotten some airplay. I saw 'em described as "pop/punk/indie/country/rock" and that's about right.  

Today I saw this video of an in-store they did early this year in Nashville (performance is a little ragged), this is the first good look I've had at Kelly Darlin's bass. Is this a Gretsch? No-name Japanese copy? It almost looks like a Junior Jet but I can't see a name on the headstock and it has fancy binding.

The Outpost Cafe / MySpace issues?

The past two days I've had trouble with MySpace, very slow loading, no pics or other graphics visible unless they're externally hosted. This is on two different computers and three different browsers. I haven't changed any settings recently. I've emptied my cache and tried a couple of other things, no luck. Anyone else having issues, or is it just me?

EDIT: younger son says no problems for him, so apparently it's just me. Any suggestions?

Hard to see how this could be my cable provider or a router issue since I don't have the problem on any other website I've visited this weekend.

A little aside: The blog entry originally called DP a US band. It was posted August 17, when I saw it August 28 I wrote the blog owner to point out that they're not, and he corrected. That means in 11 days not a single reader of this legal humor blog managed to notice that. That figures, we certainly don't know any attorneys who are DP fans, do we?  :)
