Friday, of a heart attack. I didn't hear about it until last night.

They play his song on the local radio here frequently.  Kind of nice to know that he went more traditionally than so many people he grew up with.

Well, a strange story.


Around '93 I was taping a radio show on cassette because one of my heroes was performing live. Just before he appeared they broadcasted this song and I loved it! I listened to that tape a zillion times till it was totally worn out and I liked this song more than the live performance of my hero. But I never new who he was and I searched for this song for ages! Later I forgot, internet came on, but I never searched. Sometimes the song would pop up in my mind, and even if I haven't listened to the song for years I knew all the words, the guitar solo... And now I finally know which song it is, but because of the dead of the guy. Strange.
