Say, i've been too preoccupied with other things but How do i go about getting one of these basses??? And how much??? Thanks! Joe

Dave W

Joe, the two runs they made (50 total) are sold out. Keep an eye out for notice of the next run, probably within a few months. The cost of these with shipping to the US ran about $400, direct from BaCH to your door.

I'll keep my eyes peeled also.  Congrats to all involved for accomplishing this.

To those of you who haven't been in on this, I just want to be clear that this is Rob's accomplishment, not mine.

Dave, I've followed the thread for some time and meant to say it's cool that forum members got behind the idea and 50 were actually built.

Yep, Rob is the man behind this.  He made it all happen  :toast:
This bass keeps getting better and better.  I actually like the strings that came on it too, go figure.
Were they the same on all the B-Birds?

Nocturnal

Mine came with a D'addarrio hang tag on it. I haven't bothered to change strings yet. They seem to be working fine for now.

Transformation pretty much complete! I want to thank Rob one more time for dealing with all this. Thank you! Thanks to Roman for making such a fine instrument. Thanks to Mark for inspiring me to peel the black plastic off a TB+ and stuff it into a chrome cover. And thanks to GOT for the PG.

From top to bottom:
Hipshot D-Tuner
Gibson TRC
extra strap button at neck heel
GOT pickguard
late model TB+ inside NOS 70s chrome cover
chrome cap bell knobs on CTS pots

Looking good Tom!
What Type D-tuner did you use? Is that gold plated or is it the light? (I just realized I have two D-tuners in a shoebox waiting to be installed, I wonder which model fits the BaCH)

D-Tuner aside, that is my idea of NR bliss. Well done Tom. If I can get a white one in the next run I will unless Roman decides to do Cherry.

Thanks guys! I used one of their Ultralights. It's chrome, that's just the light. I was going to replace them all, but don't feel like spending the money right now. It's barely noticeable that it's an oddball.

Gonna be rockin the bird at the beach all day today!

I think you need to reposition the drill holes Scott. This looks just wrong.
Nobody's gonna ever see what's underneath the pickguard, so who cares about a few extra drill holes? :toast:
