It looks like the trick is to order a bass AND a case.  I'd definitely want to check on any shipping restrictions to the States, but I'd be really tempted to pick up another BaCH model somtime.  That Ric copy sure looks nice, and getting a mahogany Tele bass with the humbucker is also tempting.  That would be a perfect spot to drop a Dark Star.

Tom has the ultimate "bird cage"

Yeah, go figure - my cheapest bass is the one that got a custom flight case.

It's called yin/yang.  You must maintain balance in the universe.

Just dropped my BaCHBird off today for the pickup transplant.  I'm also checking the schematics to see how close it is to the original Gibson.  No other cosmetic surgery planned.

Hey guys, I've been asking around about getting an original Gibson style pickguard made and have been
given quotes of $45-$75.  I realize that everyone is trying to find a way to make a dollar in this economy,
but I'm in the same boat, in regard to being pretty broke.

Is this what I should be paying or should I be looking somewhere else?

Have you talked to GOT here?

Hi! At last we had some gigs again, so I got to use the Bluebird. After the first gig, last Saturday, I realized the G string was a bit to quiet, so I raised the p-u a bit. After the second gig I realized I hadn't raised it enough, so last night was perfect! Really nice bass, though I think my Embassys necks is slightly easier to work, at least to my hands. But, in all, absolutely astonishing in matter of... well, everything! Lots of questions asked by other bass players to, who are mighty impressed when trying out the Bird! They look like a nesting box when I tell them the price!

That is exactly what I did.

Seems as the Dark Stars got a very good rep, and according to what I've read about them, I guess I like the sound. But where to get them? And what's the price?

Dave W

You get them from Fred Hammon http://www.hammoneng.com/

They're $200 US each or $400 for a RW/RP set, and he may still have a waiting list.

The tone is not my cup of tea, but they do have a big following.

Gotta admit that that is a beautiful looking bass...  8)

I got it, but I don't understand it! It says

"Dear customer ,

We let make cases for TH-1 bass.
If You are interested in the case give us know.
Thank You for Your time .

What does "We let make cases" mean? That they are starting to make em and they will be available for purchase maybe?
