I'll know more about my fate on Wednesday.  In the meantime, for your amusement...

I felt like a trainwreck today.  One set would have been all I could done.

Henny Youngman was doing that routine when Alan King was still in diapers.  ;D

Ouch, you sure don't look comfortable, and your hand movement is obviously limited. I'm surprised you were able to make through one set. Take it easy.

gweimer

Well, it's worse than I thought.  On top of the broken elbow, I may have also dislocated my wrist.  On top of that, they think I sustained damage to my radial nerves, which is why I have  no finger movement.  Looks like I'm done playing for the rest of this year.  Nerves will heal in time.  I just have  to wait.

I'm sorry to hear that...but that REALLY gives you reason to be serious about it.  That's a serious combination of problems.  I hope you heal well!

You can always take up harmonica with the other hand....?

Damn Gary, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're able to heal as quickly as possible. That second to the last sentence brings a little hope I think?

The ironic thing in all this is the knee that I had surgery on a couple years back?  It feels GREAT since I fell.  Seriously.

Sorry it's so bad, that's really tough. Now you just have to force yourself to rest.

Hornisse

Take it easy and you'll be back better than ever.  I wish I would practice more but sadly I don't even pick up the bass between gigs unless I have to learn a new song.

I've been known to learn it on the fly!  Yeah, I'm going to take things nice and easy.  Too bad this happened right after getting the Scroll Bass.  I was looking forward to hitting a few blues jams with it.  I may clear out some of my parts I've had for projects.

Yes indeed that does suck.  But it sounds like they can put you back together again and that's good.

And there is still the nurse angle  ;D

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

Our drummer, who is a meat cutter, cut his hand really bad, had to have surgery. He played with one arm for several months. Made him a better more focused. Sometimes less is more.

John, has he become a Def Leppard fan?  :)

No but similar effect.

Gary, ever see the one armed bass player?

John!!!

Maybe and just perhaps clips showing stuff like that are a teenyweeny bit premature given Gary's current condition?
