That Trini is a beauty, too bad there won't be an EB-650 version.

Much as I rate the EB-650 as the best hollow-body bass ever made (by any company), I was never madly in love with those Trini Lopez 'mirrored triangle'-look holes. But it doesn't do the sound any harm and is at least different.

At least they made it look distinct from other semihollow and hollow bodies.

No basses this week. Just more LPs, SGs and 335s in questionable refins.

This one, I don't know what to think. 3TS over gold top and dark back... this is wrong on so many levels.

That doesn't look right. But it does have P90s, which is a plus.

Basvarken

I don't see the problem. I think it's pretty.

Did you rent out your guide dog, Rob?

Those pups look verschrikkelijk on that thing!

I like them. They go well with the binding and ring around the toggle.

And I like the idea of a goldtop as a basis for a burst. Gives it a nice depth.

I think it's a pretty cool finish too, but I'd like to see it with full-size 'buckers.

My only complaint is that the burst doesn't cover the whole front.  I'm not a fan of that sort of teardrop burst.

Dave W

Fender-type tricolor sunburst combined with Gibson's awful and mostly discontinued teardrop shape sunburst. The worst of both worlds.

Thanks for holding fast, Dave!

Just terrible. It takes a lot to ruin a Les Paul look, but these guys unwittingly wrote the handbook.

I kinda like it, but guitars and I don't really get on that well.  :-*
