So far I'm leaning toward the Liverpool and the Classic.

Classic is good. Your body design is your own but it's certainly classic rather than modern. Fender doesn't seem to claim a trademark on its Classic and Classic Player series names, just on the specific model name. Probably too generic for a trademark.

OTOH Liverpool will get you a C&D from John Hall if he were to notice it. And you want to be noticed by the bass-playing public.

My thoughts on "Classic" is you might as well just name it "Bass".

An original design deserves an original name.

How a bout Blackburn Bass, or Sixty-Four?

Since you are the Doc, you must use medical related names for your creations, I think. Maybe "Panacea" would be a nice name for an all-around (2-pickup) bass.
I'd name one "Frankenstein", but on the other hand I have a weird sense of humor, so...

Also you could do what Beatles did, take a common word like "Beetles" and change it to "Beatles". "Liverpool" can be "Leeverpool" or something.
I wouldn't change "Classic" much thru, everything that includes "ass" must be whole...

Well, steering clear of anything medical.  Got enough of that in my personal life to last me forever!

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the Eastwood hollowbody a "Classic"

Rickenbacker 350V63 Liverpool. I mentioned it earlier in this thread.

I read it and promptly forgot it.   :P
