yes, those are Guild humbuckers and they sound awesome. this is the best bass in the world. sadly band broke up in Nov. i already joined something else but as a "guitar" player.

Part of the original Grand Funk Railroad sound was the combination of Mel Schacher's Fender bass with the Guild Humbucker added and the West amps he played through.  Kids....sheesh.   :mrgreen:



I may be wrong, however.  I was under the impression that it was the Guild pickup he used, but it could be a Gibson.  I need an expert here.
