[devil-on-your-shoulder] I hate to be the one to add fuel to your GAS, Scott, and I know that this is not a V or an Ex, but would this comply with being "something special comes along..." ?

It is an NR - your preferred body style; almost a "sig" with you...

Your preferred "vintage" pickup/s in two flavours...

You can always tell your SWMBO it was my fault, that it all made perfect sense... ;) [/devil-on-your-shoulder]

Beautiful work Carlo, as usual... 8)

... and Scott, hopefully Kodak weathers the storm... good luck...

If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Thanks Kenny as always your a a big help. ;) As for Kodak it's going under, the only thing to do is pick your time to jump or someone will do it for you.

Finally recovered enough to get some work done.  Here's the Fiver body grain filled with drywall compound, sealed, sanded and primed.  It will be seafoam with matching headstock.

The 4 string stained with Mohawk Ultra Penetrating Dye Stain and a wash coat of sealer.  Today it gets grain filled with tinted drywall compound and more sealer.

The cherry II is pretty drool worthy, does it have a home ?

Craig Pepe in SoCal ordered it to go with his JAEbird.  I talked him into cherry.  Who knows, he may not like it.;)  It's getting a ThunderBucker MAX.

The Fiver goes to Tom Jenkins in Pasadena.

I talked to Steve about a TB max I am hoping he can crank one out for me before he goes on vacation.

Can't see why he would not like it.

Cool, look forward to hearing what you think of it.

NR4 body lacquer is done, buffing next week.  Headstock gets a decal and clearcoats, fretboard gets oiled.  Bridge and tailpiece parts need to be polished.

Wow. That looks great!  :o

I hope we get a good demo of that with the TB Max when it's done.

Thanks, guys.  Steve's in town for a while so I think we'll get some clips. I buffed and assembled it this AM and plugged in.  I hadn't touched my amp settings and it is noticeably louder than my test NR with a '66 EX5 in it.  I'll do some better pictures this week.
