Haha, hadn't thought of Yukon Cornelius in a while!
The wooden pg is definitely a keeper and it was very nicely done. I went with a white pg though so there would be some contrast on the bass. Next I want to replace that fugly black spacer behind the jack.

Billy Joe Winghead incorporates a theramin in their shows and it's usually pretty cool!
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

My Friday random bass guitar thought is.....

Nice bass solo, flashy, but tasteful and melodic!
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

The poor basses are sitting there while I lavish attention on motorcycle projects. I wish I was better at dividing time between interests!

You're not alone...and to make matters worse, my 12 year old comes home with a go-cart last week (that needs work). ugh.
It always seems like I'm prepping bikes for weekend rides - fixing what i broke off the week prior.

Haha, another project! I laugh because I have a bunch myself. Only 2 off-road bikes though...

For the second time I lost the topnut of my self built project. Just fell out and dissapeared into the black void
The third I'm going to glue in straight away... :-[

Good idea @ the black spacer replacement!
Checking Billy Joe Winghead... Very cool! =) This band The Amino Acids uses one too... u can Youtube their "Lost Coordinates" video. Surf Psyche-Billy style. I never heard of them/that style before today! I really dig this beautiful lady, Dorit Chrysler, who's a theremin pro & sings, plays guitar.
I should practice more than 3 times a week... but now I want to build a theremin!

Do it! I think BJW built theirs a long time ago as well. You have to watch out at their shows because they are prone to using a chainsaw on big hunks of meat, which gets flung out into the crowd.  ;D

I think the Gretsch 2202 pickup I installed in my Squier Bronco makes it a better bass than the Mustangs!  I used it at practice last night and it sounds wonderful! Deep, powerful, great sound quality. I'll be playing it tonight at a gig, alternating with the long-suffering '64 EB-0.

(Please s'cuse the crappy pic...better ones coming soon.)

My conscience is telling me I should be in the shed, sandpaper and sanding block in hand, carefully clearing off the remainder of the old fin on my RD in preparation for the new fin...

Sorry, what was I saying...?

... and where the heck did I put that power-sander...? :o

@ Denis - I'd have to pass on that, I'm a vegetarian!  :o
@ Pilgrim - Very nice Bullet bass!  :)
That does it, I'm going to build a theremin this winter!
