My random bass thought for today is.....

In the Fall of 1964 The Animals began their first U.S. tour.

After the original line up disbanded bass player Bryan "Chas" Chandler reinvented himself, becoming manager of Jimi Hendrix and recruiting other musicians to form The Jimi Hendrix Experience. He also produced their first two albums.

Just for fun I started to learn David Bowie's "China Girl" - lovely bass part!

After working on the bass line from L. A.  Woman as played by Scheff, I decided he is one of the gods of bass. Incredible.

I love Sunday morning, I get an extra hour to play before toddling off to work.............

Hadn't listened to, or played UFO's magnum opus "Love to Love" forever, so underrated.......I love this band, Schenker at his guitar genius best, Mogg's vocals and or course my Thunderbird slingin' alcoholic hero Pete Way. Hell yeah!
Schenker's first notes.............I melt!

That's my random thought of the day - how is it that the band with no bass player has some of the coolest bass lines?  ;)

I liked that clip of Scheff above...
