"Technically it's neither a Cii nor an L, since it has elements of both models, so it could have gone either way.
I might mention that this is one of two I had made as a Christmas gift for a well-known bassist friend; they each had different features but in the end I chose the other one for him. This one more pleased my ear's taste, while the one I gave him more pleased my eyes, though all of that is entirely subjective.
It also seems that this is my last bass-size piece of that wonderful ebony which we've had in our wood stock for more than 50 years. I have a few more guitar-sized sticks but then it's gone. This is Theodor Nagel sourced wood that Roger Rossmiesl ordered from Hamburg in the late 1950's."
