'82 4080 MG... $5,500 starting bid.

Like in most 4080's I have seen, the binding and pickguard/TRC are contrasting colors.

Don't think I've seen one with Black Binding before.

He does have the complete Black plastic too inc Ric plates.

If it was mine I'd have it refin'ed in bright white.

5 string pickup - that's odd! Someone swapped out the nut and reversed the octave/fundamental string arrangement (for the better) too. Looks a lot like my '93. My tailpiece does not have the "teeth" removed from the mute area, or the one big opening where the strings pass through from the back though. I guess mine is a standard, 7 hole, 4003 tailpiece.

These are all so clean and nice. My 4001 must be the second most beat up looking Jetglo out there...

I love beat up Rics. There was a beat to hell 4000 FG on eBay 3 years ago that I still kick myself for not getting. It went for $1,500 IIRC.

That is a very fine piece of wood, love the fret board too.

Everything about that one is nice. One of only two, it sure is rare, doubt if it's $8500 rare.

That one may get the starting bid or more, weren't there something like only a dozen of these made?
