Tonight I was invited to join my daughter and wife at Odell's Brewery in Fort Collins...from left to right, one Lugene Double Milk Chocolate Nitro Stout, and two Nitro Cutthroat Porters.....

To celebrate the release of their album "Earth Rocker" today, I'll pop open a Clutch beer:

Yes...their Lips of Faith series is good stuff.

Love the attitude of the brewers here...everything has a whimsical touch.

Last night my wife and I went out for big burgers....had coupons for one free green beer.  The green beer turned out to be Bud Lite.

We passed....I had a Guinness and she had a 90 Shilling.  Much better.

Good decisions...even free Bud Lite is a ripoff.

Last night I had a Guinness or three in a pub called The Brazen Head in Dublin.

That's Dublin Ohio, BTW.

My wife's duaghter and grandkids live in Dublin. We went for the parade, her husbands office is a couple blocks down from the Brazen Head. It sounds like we are going again next year. Funny thing: We were on the lower level at the Brazen Head, it was crowded and we wiggled into a spot by the bar and this young guy down the bar says to me "you look familiar, are you a bass player?" and Of course I am, but he was thinking upright bass. Bottom line he is getting married in (I think) August and wants out band to play at his wedding. Of course we didn't exchange contact information. So it goes.
