LOL!  PBR also sponsors a lot of $1 beer nights.  When I was playing in Cincy, the bars used to give the bands free PBR as part of the gig.

I have it on good authority that Jack Bruce's beer of choice was Falstaff. At least, Jack's original liver must have liked it.

Holy Crap! I never knew of this one. Of course, I wasn't of drinking age when Cream was around.

Falstaf was a crap beer in bottles or cans but on tap it was great. I don't think anyone mentioned Amstel in the crap beer category, and IMHO, it is hands down the crappiest beer out there. They use desalinated ocean water, if I'm not mistaken. I'd rather drink pure ocean water :o. It's the beer of Danish kings they say :P.

Can't say enough negative things about Amstel. I don't think they are still using ocean water, I heard they are using dog urine right now. :D

My fav beer is Augustiner Helles, I guess I have simple tastes.

Good news!

Fort Collins is now returning to the river as a water source - rest assured your supply of Fat Tire will not disappear.

I don't remember ever hearing the Cream commercial for Falstaff back then. I only became aware of it about 5-7 years ago from a radio show that featured a bunch of pop and rock & roll singers and groups doing commercials from the 50s and 60s. There were some unexpected names for sure. Bill Haley reading a Civil Defense public service spot, Nat King Cole for Italian Swiss Colony Wine, and ads sung by everyone from the Blue Magoos to the Bobby Fuller Four. IIRC most or all of them were on a series of bootleg CDs.

You can find all sorts of 60s oddities on YT now.

My real favorite among local craft brews is Odell's 90 Shilling.  A marvelous Scottish amber ale with a wonderful flavor.  If you haven't tried it, you definitely owe it to yourself to give it a test drive.
