I really don't know what Gibson thinks. I am hopeful, out of this latest flurry of basses the only dud imho is the short scale Thunderbird, tits on a bull really.

What's wrong about the TSparrow? Doesn't sound any worse than the other short scales, a bit clearer even and makes sense for people who think a TBird is too large for them.

For me the pickup placement is all wrong, one in the sweet spot like a P bass or Thunderbird II would have been perfect. The bass may work for some just not for me, again I stress just my opinion. I like my Music Master a whole lot better.

Is the doublecut Junior Bass (EB11) selling? There were supposedly only 400 to be made, right? Yet it's still shown as in stock at Musicians Friend. If Gibson can't sell 400 of a pseudo-reissue like the EB11 at $1200, does anyone really think they can they sell 400 of a NR reissue that's not historically accurate?

I'm with you Dave.  I bought my JR because they gave a deal I couldn't resist, not because I thought it was really a good RI example.

I would hope they would read this forum to know what Gibson bass fans want.

Hopefully Gibson's R&D team enjoy military history and transvestism.

I suppose the train is incomplete without the tunnel.

I'd love to see this.  Yes chrome hardware is the way to go, but please no sunbursts.  There are enough of those out there already, even if they aren't NR.  I remain on alert.

That's a most penetrating thought.

Inverness Green with chrome hardware gets my vote.

I love Inverness Green. Thought about that color for a refin for my BaCh. But I guess it's not to everyone's taste. They will use something safer like white or sunburst I guess.
