All I can say Bill, is that I wish you worked here at Colorado State - I'd definitely like to count you as an on-campus colleague in addition to being a virtual one.

I wish I worked at CSU too!  We'd have a hell of a good time, that's for sure!

Well, if you are ever motivated to do a research project on craft beers of Colorado, I happen to live in the center of the primary research area.

I wish!!!!  Once chemo and radiation are finished, I already planned on a lengthy beer/wine reserach project in Bavaria!  I could always find a way to squeeze Colorado in as well.  My wife's brother lives in Boulder and we're way overdue for a visit with him, too.

Well, then there's hope!  I wish you good health and I will hope for a "cameo" visit one of these days!  (And we have a nice guest room...)

Certainly possible, we're way overdue for a visit to my brother-in-law.  I'll keep it in mind for sure!

Really?  Where at?  My son just moved out there, and he is working at The Great Divide.

I see that's in Denver, so he's right in the middle of it!

Here in town we have New Belgium (Fat Tire), O'Dell's, Fort Collins Brewing and a number of brewpubs like Coopersmith's.  Seems like here and 10 miles south in Loveland there's a new craft brew operation every few months.  I've found and visited two of them in the past 60 days.

There's a lot of mighty fine beer to be consumed here!

Hey gang, I thought it was time for an update.  I'm half way through my IV chemo treatments today and I'm feeling great.  I'm off now for 2 weeks before round 3 of 4 starts.  No side effects to speak of except a little tired once in awahile.  I drive myself to the clinic and head to work after the IV is finished.  It's that easy.

I've been back to work for a couple weeks and all is going well with that too.  Best new is my cancer enzyme tests are now in the normal range, so all systems are working well and in synch.  Man do I feel good today!!!!

Thanks guys.  I am blessed in so many ways and today was just a real uplifting experience, in spite of the drugs they pumped into me in the morning.

I do not want to start a political debate about health insurance, so please, don't anyone go there. But, I have to say that my BCBS insurer worked closely with the Maryland BCBS organization and they covered my care entirely except for a few hundred dollars in standard copays.  I am forever grateful for the system that permitted me to have the best care available with the full support of my insurer.  They could have easily declared me out-of-plan, but didn't.  It can and does often work.
