Thanks again everyone!  I'm feeling so good now, I just pray it lasts!

Scott, I was in RGH for 6 days and I thought about calling you, but I was out of it most of the time and really pushing to get home.  Morphine is an interesting drug, lots of pluses and lots of minuses!  I don't miss it frankly, but it sure got me through the acute pancreatitis with minimal discomfort.  Better living through chemistry!

I'm doing better now a week after exiting the hospital.  I'm back to real food, just have to be careful to avoid fats, too much sugar and alcohol.  Ugh!  I had a follow up appointment yesterday and all of my blood tests are normal.  Good signs so far.  I'm back to work, but I wear out by 3 PM or so.  Not bad considering!  I have an endoscopic ultrasound on Friday, the 23rd. to take a close look at my pancreas and rule out anything life threatening.  Keep me in our prayers, still got a couple hurdles to clear before it's over.

Merry Christmas!

Blessings,
Bill

Bill call me anytime! I am glad you are home and feeling better. Six days at RGH? No thanks!

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I had some great family time and my son is still here with his girlfriend.  I did get some bad news, the docs found abnormal cells in my pancreas, so I'll be having surgery as soon as possible.  I'll keep you all posted (it will be sporadic for 3-4 weeks) and ask that you keep me in your prayers a little longer.  There`are some good signs, so after the surgery, I should make a good recovery.

Best wishes to all for a safe and healthy New Year!

Best wishes, Bill. I'm glad you have reasons to feel positive about your outcome because that's a huge part of the battle right there. Stay positive knowing there are lots of people who love and rely on you. You also have many admirers here. You add a lot to this place and do so with a cheerful demeanor that I know lifts me up. I would imagine others feel the same. You're in my prayers.

Bill - catching this early is the best thing possible under the circumstances!  I'm very concerned for you - experience with my dad - but I'm hoping you will be fine.  You're valued and respected - hang in there, stay positive and let us know how you're doing.
