Oww.   Day surgery hernia of the belly button (oh my dignity)   Sittin' here now on some good drugs but still feeling the pain.  My biggest problem as I see it is that I have practices and gigs to do after next week off and I have no idea how I'm gonna get my amp to either.

I had the same surgery last year, ouch! Take care, hopefully the logistics will work out for you!

I did one of these two years ago. It was supposed to be a short surgery with a tiny scar but as luck would have it, there were complications. It wound up with me having my guts pulled out and parked on a table while they untangled things. A couple hours later I got put back together and earned a pretty sizable scar. I'm just thankful I didn' t wind up with a colostomey bag :o . I guess it was pretty close.
Anyway, pay attention to what the doctor told you about recovery time and not lifting things etc. If you do something to screw this up you can easily undo what they just fixed :o . BE GOOD and enjoy the buzz ;D

I had mine 35 years ago at a time when you stayed in the hospital for a week afterward. A co worker had his done orthoscopicaly (spelling?), they punctured his colon, he had to be opened up also, everything taken out, cleaned and put back. He's lucky to be alive!

I guess it was, but thanks to a whole lot of morphine and a bucket full of vicodine it wasn't so bad ;). Watched a bunch of old movies and laid around quite a bit. Just take it real easy for a while :)

Well, try and heal quickly and completely.
Of course, now you'll spot a old SVT or Hammond B3 out in front of somebody's house with a sign that says "Free".

Sitting still can be hard when you want to go, but you'll be glad you did when you're all healed and can go. Plus 1000 on that roadie idea. Enjoy the luxury while you can.  ;)
