Whew!  Sounds like Texas in the Summer.  We had a record low here in Austin last night at 17 degrees F.  Supposed to get even lower early this A.M.

17 F here last night too at the weather station nearest my house. Not expected to be quite that cold tonight.

After last summer, the drought and the record number of days 100 degree or more, a little cold front is welcome.

Lows in the high 40s, low 50s while getting up to mid 70s during the day. I like living in Southern California this time of the year.
There are many in this world that call me Darrol, feel free to be apart of that group.

UK - Warming up here slightly, snow starting to melt - freezing at night still...

I don't remember it ever being that hot here...

Seen a rare satellite picture showing the whole of the UK covered in snow...

Sympathy from those of us at temp extremes is unlikely to be forthcoming..... ;)

It's been damn cold here in Minnesota for the last two weeks or longer....... Today, it is suppose to get up to about 20 F, later in the week 30 F. Minnesotans walk around without jackets or with their jackets wide open in this kind of weather. It's hard on a Gibson guitars & basses with nitro finishes. Many guitars in our shops are Minnesota mint! In great condition except for finish cracks from cold temps. Not letting the temperature of the guitar warm up slow enough before taking it out of the case. One local shop lets the guitar sit eight hours before opening it after it's delivered in this cold.  8) 8)

It's currently 10F (-12C) at 8:58AM here at the foot of the Rockies in Cedar Hills, UT. It's been a pretty cold winter so far but not as much snow as we had the last couple of years. I've noticed that it seems to snow more here when it's slightly warmer.

Lightyear

It's been very cold here south of Houston the last few days as well.  It's been in the low to mid 20s for the last three nights and it looks like we'll barely drop to freezing tonight as well.  After tonight we go back to our normal weather.

There is a bright side to the freezing weather as a hard winter tends to kill down some of the insects that drive us nuts most of the year - I think that it slows down the fire ants to a certain point as well.

We've been in the oughts and teens daytimes for a while, but it hit the 20's (F) yesterday and at 11 AM it's almost 30.  Supposed to hit the 40's today, which would be nice.
