Or you could do a Gretsch silver sparkle top with mahogany stain back.

If I did do silver, it would be the smaller silver, not the bigger sparkles like Gretsch.  Those are a bit too much for my tastes.

Dude. Metalflake is totally retro. Fits right in with Gretsch ethos.

But it has to be tricky to shoot those big flakes.

I hear ya, but I'm not a big flake fan.  Leaning toward the regular silver.

Fair enough. That would look great, and chances of a successful application of finish are much greater.

Well, isn't this a day for "Beware of Zombies..."

I could go into Inverness (this morning) and get a picture of the Green, if you're interested...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Yes, we're back from the dead!  Might get the stain done tomorrow.  I'm sure the loch is beautiful, but not on a bass!

Loch Ness Blue or Inverness Green, or maybe a nice Amber Single Malt... all are quite local now...

We'll take you up on that!  Our next trip will be Italy or the UK in the summer.  We just haven't decided yet.
