I never minded an honest player's wear. The buyer will be able to play the bass and not worry about putting a dent in a museum piece.

BTW, we now know the seller's favorite keys, right?  ;D

Non Wavy Grovers, relieved bridge pup shroud, finger rest etc.
Saw it Tuesday eve, drove up on Wednesday morning and bought it, a little more than the asking price. Seriously needs a good clean, A string frets are not so good, otherwise as far as I can see that's it. It was apparently a one owner. Can't believe the difference in weight to my 79, Cleaning now, pic's later.

Congratulations, looking forward to the cleaned-up pics. If you only paid a bit above £1,200 then I think you got a good deal.

;D Well, not quite, I would say around the normal rate, roughly translated a bit less than Weekend Warriors recent Jetglo.

Very thin Magnet on the bridge pup, which measures 12.5K and 6.5K on the neck pup.

A rare 2030 Glenn Frey bass. Basically a 2020 with Blackstar appointments.

An 8-stringer, it's been a long time since the last one on eBay.

EDIT: ended at $2,650, 6 bids, reserve not met.

A non-glueburst '73 MG... I like it that it has players wear.

So many Mapleglo checkerboards on eBay lately.

Tons of hi-res pics.

I'm not sure but I think I see a repaired neck crack where it typically happens when the rods are tightened without support.

No pics under the tailpiece but the holes on either side may indicate that a non-original bridge was there at one time. I'm guessing a BadAss and the holes are for a plate to cover the larger Ric tailpiece footprint. I'm pretty sure it's routed for a BA under the Ric tailpiece (which is repositioned too high, it's not dead on the center line).

The wiring is a mess. An extra hole in the pickguard is another evidence.

Non original strap buttons.

No handrest. Slot-head height adjustment screws.

Bridge pickup reversed - usually the wear mark is on top (bobbin used as thumb anchor)

Deteriorating crushed pearl inlays.

Looks like a refret.

I don't like what's under the TRC. Another makeshift spacer and the plate isn't in place.

Reissue neck toaster with longer magnets.

Bridge pickup route was widened, but the surround covers it.

Mute pad looks too new. One thumb screw is also probably new.

TRC is wrong, should have the MADE IN USA sideways, parallel to the nut. Probably from a v63.

One of my fave colours and that maple looks awesome on the back shot. Truss rods look like they've been pulled out past the neck pup route. Oh and def looks like a re varnish on the neck.
