About the Bunny Brunel Signature bass (which is still up for sale at Reverb): There are also five string versions of this bass, Built by Gibson.
Bunny Brunel owns a red one with completely red hardware and red Bartolini pickups.

And Kyle Eastwood (yes the son of Clint) uses two of them on his world tours.
He is actually a protegé of Bunny Brunel.

Carvin should sue Gibson.  ;D ;D (I know, they no longer exist)

Bunny must own the design. If it had been Gibson's design, Henry would have sued Carvin.

Speaking of Henry, is he still on the job?

I wonder if Henry ever raise the question: "What went wrong?"

If he does, it probably would be to wonder what's wrong with everybody who didn't recognize his brilliance. He's that arrogant.

Oh wow, I did not know that. I just looked at the ad again and saw that this one was made in 1986.

Basvarken

Yes and Bunny Brunel designed it. He owns the rights. When Carvin folded he asked ESP/LTD to build the model. Which they still do.

Carvin hasn't folded, they spun off the guitar business as Kiesel and kept the Carvin name for the audio business. Allegedly the sons of Lowell Kiesel (the founder) couldn't agree on the direction of the business so they split it.

Sons disagreeing on the direction a business should go is no surprise.  It might be more surprising if they did agree.  However, I really didn't know that's how things turned out with Carvin.  I thought they had gone out of business, period.

That's my understanding as well.
