I prefer this to Lay Down Sally even though they are slightly similar! Nice bass playing too and you know where it has to go with that EB ...

This predates Lay Down Sally. This is from a 1970 Hee Haw appearance.

Already posted this in the EB thread several years ago.

Another cool track from our old friend Pekka. Some nice 12 string bass on this one.

One of my favorites. Classic George in a 1984 live performance, with Elvin Bishop starting at 4:00

Early in the story, I like the line  "I packed up my John Lee Hooker record collection..."

This shows how much fun George could have with his classic tune.

"A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila."

Thanks Tom for your kind words! The "basic bass" is an Epiphone Vintage T-Bird. I also played my friends electric 12-string guitar which he also made (Tyyster Pelti) and my own Ibanez Blazer and Roadstar II guitars so there's plenty of strings on it. :)

Ricky Skaggs turned 70 on Thursday and had a big party in Nashville Friday night. Still touring extensively, 100+ dates a year with his 8-man band Kentucky Thunder.

Here's his first Top 10 hit from 1981.

And this year.

Yes - and the new album is a cracker, very fresh and inspired. The Belfast Kid is just more RAWK!!! than Steve Morse ever was.

Gary Moore personally returned from the grave and played on it too.

That's sad, he was along with Alexis Korner the progenitor for Brit blues-infused rock, rock wouldn't be what it is today without him. I hope he went easy.

and the surprising origins of the song as explained by Judy Henske.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

It reminds me of Sam Cooke's Wonderful World put to a shuffle!
