Saw Mavis Staples yesterday.

She brings so much positivity and love. Brought a tear to my eyes.

The voice. She lives up to the legend , and has had one incredible life. I’ve heard her here in a small room with great acoustics , up close. The band is gorgeous. Her sister was to be singing backup but was down with something and couldn’t come. I think she’s since passed away.
She’s so tiny , and such a powerhouse.

Easily one of the shows I’ve seen that resonated the most.

Bluegrass folk classic from Mac Wiseman. Dates back to at least the 1920s.

Young Billy Strings, keeping the old ones alive.

The Cowsills these days are Bob, Paul and Susan. They still tour.

I thought this was a great rendition.

That Fender guy, wasn't he with KISS once?

I'd go see a Gene Simmons solo show in a heartbeat, just the man, no batwings, make-up or fireworks.

Frank Zappa and Marc Bolan knew why they wanted them.
