And you can dig the purple Duke

ALL KRAMER ALL THE TIME!

I had to slowly warm up to a Tele guitar body with bass appointments. Now I can say that I like them quite a bit.

Though I think that a Tele with a more rounded butt... like a Les Paul would be way cool too.

Anyway, it looks great so far.

Killer!

Mark, you always look great even especially if you are sweating like a barnyard animal...

Since we all wear flight suits it gets hot and sticky pretty fast at Hawk Attack shows, I think the lights are the worst bit, but no AC sucks.

How's the new drummer?

My Hondo Les Paul came with a DiMarzio.

Other Bass Brands / Re: Ed Roman guitars and basses

I have spent a lot of time on his website, been to his two of his shops a bunch of times met his wife (she is really nice) and chatted with Mr. Roman a number of times and even bought a guitar from him once.

He is brash, opinionated, curt and even insensitive, especially if you like anything with Gibson on it.

Having said that I like him and he has some really good ideas about building a guitar, I have stolen many of them for my own projects.

Have y'all seen Zachary Guitars, I love Alex's stuff, here is his take on a Firebird.

He is another guy that most people love to hate... he is just out there enough for me.

Good score I'd say, 20 bucks well spent.

I hear ya, you are only as good as your drummer.

Ours has his moments but he still has a hard time with the notion that he needs to keep time  ;), he doesn't wear the flight suit either.

I used to play in a surf band called the Aquasonics. Our drummer was a mad dog, in fact, everyone called him Mad Dog.

Mark, what gives... when does the new drummer earn a skirt?

We have been playing out quite a bit recently. Between the band and the wife I have been the proverbial "one legged man at a butt kickin' contest".

Our show Saturday night was much better than the one last Friday even though our warm up group canceled 3 hours before the show. (That should tell you just how crappy the previous show was) Couldn't be helped and they are good guys, we will play with them again.

Anyway, I drug out the Les Paul bass for the first time in a long time and it sounded great through my SVT and two 15's.

Someone bought us all shots of Frangelico after I announced over the microphone I wanted a shot of "that Mrs. Butterworth".   ;D

I really like that... great job on the ole' pick-guard.

Hell, that would look good in my yard!

Oh yeah, I can't wait to see what happens with that T-Bird body.
#13
Vey cool, any plans for the next one?

Gibson Basses / Re: To Gold Top or not to Gold Top...

Oh no, the sound is great, though I have been getting some strange buzzing recently.

Mine has the T-bird pickups and the Bart pre-amp and it pretty much kicks out the jams.

Maybe one day I'll figure out what the knobs actually do.

+1 on the Mighty Might necks they are pretty nice for not a lot of cash.

Mine has a 70's style logo on it, and is waiting for a body... Maybe I should build a Fender-bird?
