Not what you'd expect but I thought it was pretty cool what Debbie Gibson and Geezer Butler are doing. Three cheers to them, the dogs and the people who step up to provide them good homes.

If they did a video like the Stones just put out it wouldn't work as well. People would be wondering why a young Ian Gillan sounds like he has dentures. Good for them for staying active all this time. Can't say the new stuff does much for me compared to their prime years. At least they're not playing medieval minstrel tunes.

Not underrated to me at least.

Grace Bowers is no big loss. Who needs her when there's Kayla Kent?

Interesting. Almost looks like a T-bird pickup with added poles. Either way those are some tasteful mods including the tuners and bridge cover.

That would be cool. His name is Ron Johnson. If anyone knows Ron or if the man himself happens to see this, feel free to chime in here.

A Gibson Les Paul Jr. DC getting some love on stage with Samantha Fish. I wonder what pickup he put in there? Looks like it has pole pieces.

Nice looking reliced J. I like the big headstock. Probably helps with dead spots. In an alternate universe someone in Ireland named Seamus Goldstein is making Fender copies too.

Hey, nice rosette spoonbill. Kudos to Sharon for the great picture. Keep them coming. It's nice to see the the abundant wealth of diverse bird species down there.

The auctions are streaming on youtube. The EB only got $4,000. Even with the 20% markup from Christie's that's still a great price for a 50s EB.

The hammer fell at $20,000 for an EB-6. The EB-1 will go up tomorrow.
Hard to believe what someone was willing to pay for Gilmour's strat. CBS era and heavily modified.

That's some solid bass playing for hardcore punk.  Grabber is sounding good too.

Gibson Basses / Jim Irsay Collection

While there are some higher profile items up for sale, there could be some bargains to be had on a couple old Gibsons.
4 to 6,000 wouldn't be bad for an EB-6 even if it does need new tuners.

Not too many original 1950s EBs around but you might be able to snag Jim's old one.
