Don't forget Iran and China. It all gets a bit overwhelming after a while. All the more reason to dig in to some tunes, play some bass and try to get into a different frame of mind.

Darrol, see post 50. I don't have 100% faith in any elected official. I'm hoping we don't get wrapped up in further military escalations but that looks like it will be a challenge. Don't get too worked up guys. I'd hope everyone here can manage to resist the urge to key a tesla or something like that.

I can agree with what Ron Paul is saying here.

Other than Germany, I would have said the UK pertaining to european countries that are most hostile toward free speech. Just recently some folks over there got arrested for complaining online about their kid's primary school.
I don't know exactly how the administration is trying to suppress the rights of college kids. The party previously in power would not have lost so much in the last election if the country was satisfied with the way things were going. The pendulum swings and so it goes.

If he can afford to buy it and it's for sale, it's a free country. If someone doesn't like him owning the product, they don't have to use it. It's not like Twitter is an essential utility. I don't use twitter but from what I understand there's less censorship now there than before and freedom of speech is more important than whatever the corrupted established order was allowing for. Hopefully some day most Europeans can say what they want without fear of having a knock on their door for expressing views contrary to what their establishment prefers.

Well, at least it was nice of Elon to finally rescue those stranded NASA astronauts whatever else you may think of him. Personally, I'm happy to see DOGE trimming down the bloated bureaucracy. Speaking of Canada, I've had some of the happiest moments of my life there and I wish Canadians the best. I'm optimistic things will work out eventually.

Yes, and it was captured on video too.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was considering replacing the pickups in my early 90s Les Paul Special. Not having a hot bridge pickup isn't such a deal breaker. It might be a good idea to grab them while they're still being offered. I think the only Gibson bass currently in production using the modern version pickups is the Gene Simmons signature T-bird.

Has anyone here ordered a matched set of either the modern or vintage style thunderbird pickups from Gibson? When I look at the site it seems like there is only one pickup sku for each type and not separate ones for bridge and neck. What's the deal here?

Could be hanging around because of that spot on the fretboard near the body joint. Looks like some dings in the fretboard and what might be some delamination between the fretboard and neck.

The Aldo Nova song sounds a lot like "Jane" by Jefferson Starship.

Three dog night had enough talent to hang with Roberta Flack. RIP to Roberta as well.

Country, pop, rock or whatever it is. James Burton's solo here is perfection.

I think the Geezinslaw brothers might have the same perception as Dave when it comes to some of today's country like that band Midland. The song starts at 5:18.
