The burst on the competition burgundy looks nice although not particularly red. Slab rosewood fret boards are a nice feature. The Desert Sand color on the 50s Precision is a very fetching shade of beige.

A little blood never stopped Sonny Boy Williamson. Here's another version of Robbie Robertson's take on the story. Hope Steven Talarico gets it straightened out. Too bad Sonny couldn't look after himself better.

That would make more sense than a left handed EB from the 50s. Shana Tova by the way.

I caught that one too. Doug Lubahn played a 50s Gibson EB on Strange days,or at least that's what he said in an old Bass Player mag article. I wonder how he got the bar bridge to work for playing lefty. Maybe they made a couple left handed EB basses?

Sweetwater is offering  the 60's Thunderbird humbucker. They claim it's the Gibson pickup

And also the black

This is good news! I wonder if those black ones would be a drop in for my 92' LPB-1? My EB-1 is back in working shape since I found a vintage two point bridge on reverb. Would be great if these pickups could replace the microphonic TBs  in my LPB.

EB-2 basses are the coolest but we already knew that.  8)

If I had the money, I'd go the whole hog and get 5 2000s heads with a couple 2x 15s for each head just for kicks. I'm not that guy but it would only take a few geezers with more money than sense and they're probably out there.

I've encountered TB+ that have reached their expiration as well. Seems an odd thing to happen for a pickup encased in epoxy. Perhaps it's engineered obsolescence although that's probably giving too much credit to incompetence.

Yes, clearly burgundy.  :P
We really are living in 1984.
Winston what color is this bass?
Blue?
Wrong! Red! Now  time for the two minute hate against Gibson.

55
I had to look up why competition burgundy is actually blue. Do you know if this new Fender will have the purple burst on the edges too?

Too bad they didn't burst the headstock. Not sure about the amber knobs being the best choice. Thumbs up to the pearloid pickguard.

Good job on another impressive and challenging build. That burst is killer too. Keep em coming man!

Not as bad as Henry is having. Being sued for 50 million.

Good to see Lou getting the recognition and fun with adult entertainers that he deserves.  ;D
