I actually step on a MIDI bass pedal to trigger a vibra-slap sample at the intro of that song. LOL!

My sister is friends with Mike Kurtz. I used to run into him back in the 90s when he was in Bombs Away.

I wanted a white one..........................BAD. lol I am really happy with the black it is a nice change I have a ton of white basses.

Mike was the first guy I played with after my car accident.  Good songwriter, too.  The drummer for Bombs Away was my old drummer, John Sweeney.

I've got an audition for a band tomorrow.  This would be a second band, rather than leaving my current band.  These guys are a little more rock and current, so it could be fun.  The guitarist is someone who I've talked to about doing a project in the past.  I put some Roto RB-40 strings on the BaCHBird, and it sounds a lot meatier now.  I decided to bring it tomorrow.  Aside from just jamming and feeling things out, I get to try:

The Pretender - Foo Fighters
Gunpowder and Lead - Miranda Lambert
Man in the Box - Alice in Chains

We may even try "Celebrity Skin"

You'll be a day late for covering Courtney Love. Her broomstick flies tonight.

The funny thing is, not only am I not a fan of Hole (or Courtney), I'm also not a big Billy Corgan fan.  Just shows that you can get some great songs from some unlikely pairings.  That's a song that just screams "Thunderbird".  With floppy strings, and sloppy playing.  I'm in.

Sounds like fun. I've done all of those songs (except for Miranda Lambert) in my current (soon to be former) band.
