Here's my Bachbird w/ a nickel T-Bird pickup a few months ago.  Funny how I'm hidden behind the pole most of the time.

Cool! You really get an idea of how huge that headstock is!

Here's a couple of pics that a customer of mine sent me.
He had his BaCHbird converted into a MotorpsychoBird

With two DarkStars.
Custom pickguard that I had made for him
New pots
Pickup selector switch
new topnut
Hipshot UltraLite tuners
New jack input
Refinned with Nitro

Those pickups just do not look right on that bass. Kind of ugly actually.

Some basses they look nice on others just do not work.

I agree they don't look right on the LP. Too close, too crammed.

But on the Motorpsychobird I really like the look of those DarkStars. But I think I would have mirrored them by turning the bridge pickup 180 degrees.

I'm too anal, in that I shudder when someone puts one brand pickups on another brand - Darkstars are Guild to me. Might as well put P & J's on there.

Funny how when a famous player does it, people worship it (Tractor bass, Billy Sheehan, Fenderbird). When you or I do it people talk about ruining a bass.

Why not? It's a BaCH!
They were meant to be customized from the start. That's the fun of these things

Failed Guild, to be accurate. And both of the famous players who had theirs hotrodded quickly moved on to other basses and pickups.

I think they're ugly, regardless of how many of them you use. I don't like the sound of them either. But I do like the looks of that refin.

Anyone notice the Ace Frehley figure on the bass head at the right?

He must be a Bent Saether & Motorpsycho fan? A great band, great bassist and that 'bird looks great!
