... a new track from the forthcoming album release (isn't it terrible how I still say "album"), very Alcatrazzy, Malmsteeny guitar solo and all, with those typical operatic vocal lines of his which you either love or find OTT ...
... and a new bassist who only coincidentally caught my eye ...
For the avoidance of doubt:
That is not Mark, you can tell by the gear played (she is actually a lefty, but plays righty). Mark, of course, plays Thunderbirds over Gallien Kruegers. Still, the general likeness and similar sartorial splendor are unsettling.
Interesting background story on how she - the suitably named Ms Beth-Ami Heavenstone - joined the band: Initially not really acquainted with Bonnet's pedigree, she had second thoughts about touring internationally "because I'm a single mom with an autistic child". That's when Bonnet mentioned that he has an autistic child as well and that caught her interest.
Speculations are rife that since then the two have discovered further commonalities as well, but I'm not voicing an opinion on that. We are not tabloid here, but dedicated to compelling scientific evidence. The new track does contain the line
"what a beautiful creature we are ..." though.
