Agreed. The knobs have to go. They look too "handcraft-shop-macramé" !

Nice one Rob; I understand that impulse.  God help me if I come across one of these locally - even with the long scale and silly quantity of pickups (a 3 way and 4 knobs - how's that even wired?)

Utterly sensibly: Three completely independent volume cöntröls (for each püp, geddit?) and a treble control for all. One doth not need more. Le töggle est un kill switch!

I like it!

Yes, but then you like lots of unsettling things!

What about something like this to replace those wooden knobs?

What a shameless copycat you are!

The original knobs from my BFG ended up here, that is where they fit:

I think the original knobs fit the raw look of the bass.

I understand Rob's comment, they look very un-rock'n'roll - dare I say Wishbassy?  -, while the bass itself oozes rock'n'roll. Or RAWk 'n' roll if you like. The disparity bothered me too at the time.

My skull knobs have of course shifted the overall appearance towards Pirates of Caribbean/Marvel prop! But I thought the bass deserves a slightly scandalous/outrageous/hilarious look. I was never too obsessed about being taken serious. Most musicians tend to be, I've seen some pained, sour-puss looks with my BFG from musicians while non-musical people always dig it ( "Are those skulls real?" "Yup, I hunted down little rodent gnomes for them!" ).
