I loved the music this man made with his bass. 60 years is too soon to go. We'll miss you Louis.

Yeah, this was really shocking and sad.

I had this instructional video when I was in high school - brings back great memories mixed with sadness at the loss...

He was probably the first guy I saw slap around 1978 on either Don Kirschner's or the Midnight Special. I didn't know what the heck was going on - it looked like he was getting shocked every time his thumb hit the string! This guy pre-dated all the show-offs who came later, and had GREAT rhythm. RIP...
