And NFL, and NBA, and MLB....not to mention WNBA and associated leagues which are gaining momentum fast.

Thanks! A cigar-box 8-string bass is nothing I ever dreamed of, but I'm happy it exists! :)

Wow, that thing sounds HUGE. And very cool concept/look.

What does it weigh and how's it balance? Looks pretty steady on your lap there!

It's funny...I dropped by Mike's mid-day during the week, so what you see on the video is almost my entire experience with the bass. It has strap buttons, but it's definitely a sit-down player.

As an experiment, it's wildly successful. It remains to be seen if the CBG-project guys are willing to spend the extra money on a bass neck and bridge.

The bridge alone costs more than one of Mike's kits:

Very cool! That sounds great! You might not know this but back in the late 70's early 80's there was a company that made 8 string conversion kits for P basses!

Thanks, and no, I did not know that!

While edited photos of the Lotus Chromasonic are still in progress, here are final assembly and live shots.

The parts side of my business is thriving, so instead of complete builds, my plan is to offer ready to install necks and loaded bodies with a choice of pickups. I'll offer final assembly, setup, a certificate of authenticity, and a gig-bag or case with "case candy" as an add-on package. The Deeluxe body style is the latest addition to the portfolio. This one is Ducati Red.

A few photos of what's in the pipeline.

Looks great, Brad.  Is that a Hipshot B?  If so, curious why the B over the A.  I see that pretty often.

Thanks, guys!

In my mind, the red Deeluxe is destined to be an 8-string, but we'll see.

On the Hipshot B, I feel like it's a wonderful design, cosmetically and ergonomically. It's the inspiration for my 8-string baseplate.

I really like how the Hipshot B 4 and the Lowe 8 look side by side.
