A friend and I were chatting, and he suggested the idea of a 4-to-8 conversion saddle. I was already thinking about a clean-sheet, 4-string version of the bridge, but using the existing baseplate for both styles is an Occam's Razor moment. In that approach, the only design update that needs to be factored in is elongating the string-through holes to accommodate straight string alignment for both saddle-types.

Thanks, Ken! Adapting the baseplate of the 8-string bridges so it can be converted for 4-string use helps consolidate the brand experience and streamlines the look of all my bass builds going forward.
