The other day I dropped a replacement Ripper 4 way switch off at Harry's Guitar Shop and saw this. I LOVE the look and think a bass with this body and color would be a knockout. I don't much like the headstock design (which you can see in the link to the company's website below.

Turns out the company was founded in LA and moved to Durham, NC.

I like that a lot. That's my favorite of all his models. Seems like an interesting guy too. "No pink or purple finishes of any kind". I like his thoughts on tone and building guitars. When I first saw the picture above I was expecting a korean import like a Dipinto or Pure Salem or Eastwood. Not a hand built by one guy work of art. I really like this one with the reverse headstock.

I like it!

A single pickup bass would be cool - Like a ThunderbirdII.
Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

Nocturnal

I like the look of these guitars. A bass version would be cool.

It's not the same old same old, I'll grant him that. OTOH after having played Mosrites I have to wonder about the balance and feel of any reverse double cutaway design.

I like the shape and simplicity, and LOVE both of those greens.  8)

I love the styling. Firebird-ish upside-down plus Tele plus LP Jr, three of the coolest guitars. And still very original. The darker green is especially nice. So tasteful.

I like both greens better than any of the other colors shown but am partial to the lighter shade. It's very similar to my Teisco guitar, one of my two 6 string electrics. I love the shape of the Le Mans and a single P-90 is my favorite pickup configuration but am not sure I could rationalize spending that kind of coin on a guitar as it's a secondary instrument to bass. It'd be a great shape to try and build a bass from though.
