Love Bruno Mars...the kid drips talent and can really sing. Great drum intro, excellent music choice, James Brown footwork...loved it!

The main thing they could have done to improve the halftime show would be to leave out the Chili Peppers.  I thought they couldn't carry Bruno's jock.  Their piece was completely out of place...and sounded primitive next to the music of Bruno and his band.

I agree 100%. I have always liked James Brown too.

I don't think I have ever seen a team be able to pull its QB in the last few minutes of a Super Bowl.  43-8...What a butt-kicking!  Denver had a terrible game from top to bottom,

To each his own. I've seen Bruno Mars on network TV a couple of times and to me, he's just a circa-1980 Michael Jackson impersonator, right down to the little fedora. To be fair, I didn't see the halftime show, but I wouldn't have watched him even if I had been watching the game.

Just saw the Seahawks colors lit up on the empire state building. Tough luck Peyton.

The Chili Peppers have been over for almost two decades. They're "Rolling Stones-ing" it now.

From FB friends: "It was probably a bad sign that in the middle of the third quarter Peyton Manning started yelling "uncle" instead of "Omaha." and "The last time a Bronco moved that slow on national TV, it had OJ in it."

Lucky me, I'm watching Columbo.

It looks to me like Mars has studied a lot of the classic artists and they have heavily influenced him.  He has the voice and the talent to pull it off IMO.

I was not very familiar with Bruno Mars before this halftime gig. He really surprised me. I had no idea he and his band were that good. Lot's of energy, good voice and a rockin' tight band. Kind of an Earth Wind and Fire tightness. I didn't see that coming, nor did I see the game going like it did :o.

I don't know if anyone paid close attention to the half-time slide show, but whoever did it was very sharp and very quick.  They ran still shots across Led Zeppelin's "Good Times, Bad Times".  Here's what I noticed.

"I know what it's like to be alone" - shot of Manning on the opening snap

"I don't care what the neighbors say" - shot of Richard Sherman.

Very clever!

I thought Bruno and band threw down. Great job! Peppers.... I loved them circa 1990, but I pretty much lost interest after Frusciante left (the first time). They seemed kind of out of place yesterday.

Another one from Facebook that made me chuckle:
"Maybe Denver thought Seattle was going to get stoned too?"
