Both are better than Spinal Tap. Second story is, of course, famous. How an expensive records sleeve ruins a band. The part about the holes is really Tap. The first has a car mechanic in it, writing lyrics:)

Hail to the folks at Factory Records for not changing the sleeve design when they found out the more records they sold the more it was costing them money.
