My nuts hurt just watching that. Good driving though!

I saw a brief story on that, Volvo apparently insists it's real, no tricks.

Oh heck, I do that all the time ;D.

I wondered the whole time whether it was when I first saw it. Pretty damn impressive if true.

Quote from: Uwe's LinkA Volvo rep confirmed that the spot was done in just one take, and if the actor had gotten a leg cramp while filming, he would have been protected by plenty of safety lines that were not visible in the final video. He also was aided by small platforms on the trucks' side mirrors that helped prop up his feet. But none of this takes away from the badassery of doing a perfect split between two massive moving vehicles.

George, there must be a spiritual umbilical cord between us!

Van Damme's karate chops for all his limited acting skills are real, so he would have the body control to do it. And that new generation of trucks with automatic steering is most likely stable enough as the truck's parallel route is constantly being corrected by microscopic steering corrections. They did erase the safety wires holding him if anything had gone wrong though.

Aye!

And I have no problem with them painting out any safety harnesses; that's still an amazing feat, harness or not!

Channing Tatum (as his character Jenko from 22 Jump Street) tries to recreate Van Damme's stunt  ;D

OldManC

They're pretty quick on the uptake.

Isn't this the same stunt he did in the movie, "Cyborg", where he propped himself against the ceiling to hide?

I thought this was really funny.
It's not those who write the laws that have the greatest impact on society.  It's those who write the songs.

It's real.  Extreme splits are kind of JCVD's signature thing.  I love this commercial

Also, locally we're having a good laugh at his shopped version of the originally posted video:
