There were other Martian story writers, for instance Leigh Brackett and her character Eric John Stark - I don't have them all but they do make good reading - she also scripted The Empire Strikes Back, so no surprise about the legacy of Burroughs there...

Why do the Americans pronounce it Uranus when it's Uranus... why not call it what it is... Uranus... sheesh... anyone would think it has an alternate meaning or something...

Then there's Dick's Pawn Shop of Myrtle Beach SC whose ebay handle is dickspawn.

I first heard of them about 10 years ago in a discussion at the RRF because they had listed a Rick copy as a real Rick. IIRC it was John Hall who called them "the aptly named dickspawn."
