Lull recommendation courtesy of Her Habitual Nastiness! First impression: I appreciate you guys' endearment because of the overdriven sound similarity to sixties TB pups, but as regards low bass frequencies these things stand about as much chance beating TB Plus pups as a Sherman

would have piercing a Königstiger's frontal armor.

Output-wise I do not believe that they are up there with the perhaps overly loud new generation TB Plus pups. Don't change for these in your double bass drum band is all I'm saying!

But as I have enough TB Plus equipped basses, this makes for a nice change, if one ignores the chrome look for a moment ...

I'll post a headstock pic tomorrow (though I wonder what for, didn't change anything on that, the 2011 Ltd Edition Explorer came with that chrome hardware you girls always wet your panties for, only the pups were "teflon" TB Plus).

Cool, but they need rings.

I'm a big TB+ fan, but the Explorer I had was kind of anemic sounding. I could barely get any variation of tone with the volume and tone knobs, unlike my LP and F'bird. I've heard similar about the new non-revs.
