The TRC should have been white. Otherwise it's WHT, not SNG.

They can call it whatever they want, it's flippin beautiful!

It certainly is pretty, but I just can't get over the laquered fretboards they use on everything .... and the neck profile; not my bag.

Actually, Ric did made some 4004's with natural (not lacquered) fretboards before.

I like this one a lot. I think it's the prettiest 4004L I've seen. I never really liked solid colors 4004's, but this one does it for me.

The neck profiles of the 4004 were changed to be consistent with those on the 4003 in 2011. Usually, the fingerboard material on the 4004L Laredo is finished, those on the 4004Cii Cheyenne II are "unfinished." I say "usually" because I have seen exceptions to the "rule."

Alright; nearly everything, but definitely this one judging by the shine in the pic.  Gotta love the fact-filled fans around here.

We're nothing if not trainspotters; especially for our favorite brands/models. Between here and the old place I've learned more minutiae over the years than I ever knew before hooking up with these fine gentlemen. That's one of my favorite things about this place.

I have a 79 4001 that was refretted years ago and the fretboard left unfinished, it's one of the best sounding and playing Ricks I've ever heard, it also has a few other differences, the bridge allen screws go right into the wood rather than rest on the metal tailpiece. Supposedly that was done at the factory.
