Here.

This is not the one we've discussed before, this one just came in in late May. Nate (Willie) got this one from the original owner 10 years ago for Sheryl Crow, she's used it for recording ever since. I saw it (but didn't play it) today. Really in outstanding condition. He's asking $7500 but will consider offers.

Besides the price, the only other downside I can see is that anyone who buys it may be inspired to write shallow pop songs. And conserve toilet paper.

There's also one at Chicago Music Exchange for a lot less.  I may need to reconsider what mine is worth, and I've got a '63.  And it was owned by *2* famous bass players.

Six pages of Fender basses, only one page of Gibson basses. That should tell you something...

Yeah, that Fender made at least six times as many basses as Gibson.  Don't see many Guzzis vs Ducatis on the resale market either. ;)

Hey, all you 7ender boys, go hang out in another thread.

QuoteSheryl is an American songwriting legend and I doubt a day goes by when you don't hear her music.

Oh, I can guarantee you many YEARS have gone by without me hearing her music.

Yeah, 6 Ducatis for sale for every Guzzi! That's why I won't give up a Guzzi for a Ducati!

She don't bring me anything but down!

Back to the one at Willie's, it's really as shiny and nice in person as in the pics, even though (as Carlo would say) it has Sheryl Crow cooties. Whether any of these are worth $5K or more is beyond my estimating skills. Have any actually sold for that much?

QuoteNow THAT is the shit!

Yeah, but if you look closely, there is a lot of checking on the finish.

I don't think so, and I would be truly surprised.  The more these guys ask for these, the more I think mine has more worth.  It's a little worn, and I don't have the original pickup cover or pickguard, but mine is also completely intact, with no headstock injuries and no finish checking.  That's pretty surprising considering how I used to throw it in and out of my car all the time.

How is it that Cheryl Crow likes the same basses I do?  She records with the Embassy, and was using a Guild M-85 live for a while.  Should I be worried?  I know that I have no desire to sleep with Eric Clapton, so I think I'm safe.   8)

Nice!  And it's the "Hard to find Two pickup version".  ???  Weren't they all dual pickup?

I think the highest I've seen an Embassy sell for was about $4K, for a super nice one.  I don't think mine would even pull $2K.  :-[

Have you share pics of it with us yet?  Inquiring minds want to know.
