I kinda like them, though the body shape looks like it's been kind of squished, almost looks more like an Elrick Jazz Standard than a Fender...

IMO, the greatest "new" thing to come out in years has been the reissues. Since picking up my 51 RI a few years back, I've become a big fan of the simplistic "less is more" philosophy. I love that old 51.....I think they did it right the first time :)

I like the body shape. I always thought that a Jazz without a pickguard looks a bit weird, with the thicker lower horn. This is an improvement.

This week I saw an all black (including headstock) Fender in a shop, with a MM kinda pup at the bridge. I believe it's called Big Block Precision. Not my thing to play onstage, but I like the look and simplicity of it

That one's been around a year or so. It's actually a twin-jazz bucker with an active preamp.

There's also a new 70s J and a line of new amps, which look promising!
