Yep, we've had good success fighting cancer here!  You're fortunate to be near Sloane, it's a great place to be.  You're in my prayers and I know what you're going through.  Faith and family got me through it and the positive vibes from everyone here sure helped too.  Best wishes and be patient, it seems like a long road but the treatments do eventually end!  Blessings, Bill.

All the best and Daumen gedrückt! And in those worst hours of chemo which will very likely come, do not forget that you are doing this to save your life.

It's going to be rough, Jim, and I've no doubt they've warned you of this - careful with the eats at first as chemo can make you up-chucky - and as everyone is saying, the positive outlook is 100% important...

thanks all for your heartfelt wishes.  just finished day 2 of the 6 scheduled double treatments.  so far so good... A little cramps but nothing else so far.  now only radiation for the next 13 weekdays.  effects are cummulative so time will tell how bad it gets.

Just turned 56  Non smoker other than an occasional cuban,  never really abused alcohol or drugs more than any other musician   ;)     but lots second hand smoke as a kid  and MUCH more so in bars/clubs (well over 1000 gigs)  up to a few years ago when the laws changed.

but it is what it is....   45,  NO make that only 43 more days till I am cured.....
so many people seem to have this touch them in some way it seems like it is almost fashionable.   Boy have we messed up the earth and our bodies over the last 200 years or so...

thanks again...

Mojo sent.

My take is that cancer has probably been around for ever, but it's only due to relatively recent medical science advances that it's been diagnosed that way in our generation.  I imagine that a lot of people who died of "natural causes" in centuries past died from cancer related conditions.
Cheers
