So how many of us are turning into Old rockers?
« on: June 22, 2008, 05:39:23 PM »
Well I'm 32, I am a little overweight, wear the ponytail and the right around beard/moustach. And I already found my first gray hairs between my otherwise ebony mane.

And the fact is that I no longer look out of place between middle aged rockers attending gigs by bands like Status Quo. I'm slowly but surely turning into one of them.

I didn't say that's a bad thing though, I am catching up with a lot of fun I missed in my teen years and as a twenty something due to the extremely busy life I had in those days. I make friends with a lot of musicians who are in cool local bands, I built a name for myself as a good guitarist and I've become a well respected and well liked figure in the local music scene.

So yeah, I'm turning into an old rocker but loving every minute of it.

Mick Abrahams
Andy Pyle
Hunt Sales
Jack Lancaster
Ron Berg

I pulled a booboo. Lindsay was not on the Blodwyn Pig second album. SORRY. It was Peter Banks from (Future) Yes.

I will reluctantly turn 50 in 2 months, funny thing is I get out more now and am much more active with music than I've ever been. Most of the time I don't feel 50, and God knows I'm nothing like my Father when he was my age! Doing what I do keeps me in reasonable health, I weigh 158lbs, just 3 more than when I graduated high school back in '76 and haven't smoked cigs in years - I just enjoy drinking alot more than I ever did  ;D

Here's to a few more

Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

Did someone say old!?!  Well, I'm so old I got recruited last year for a production of Fiddler because not enough old geezers (aka Papas) showed up at auditions!  It's a bear when your wife's the assistant director!

I wish I had my red hair and beard back!  Those were the days, some 58 years ago............

I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!
