not a bad BIN, has wear but so what?

Play the crap out of it and you dont have to worry about scratching it.

I guess fret wear could be an issue though.

Nice bass

Isn't that BIN a bit on the high side?

Rhythm N. Bliss

Seems reasonable to me! Not good for flippin' to lefty tho'.  :D

Now re-lisetd with a higher BIN.

If at first you don't succeed, raise the BIN $20.  ::)

It makes as much sense as selling used basses on EBAY which cost as much or even more than what you can pay for them new.  I see this all the time now.  Why pay $500 for a new bass when you can buy one just like it used, same model, same year for $550?  If there is any logic to this, I'm not aware of it.

What I can't see is buying a Carvin, Peavy, Lakland Skyline or Warwick new , then losing 50% or more walking out the door. I also like getting a bass with some mojo, so I don't have tom worry about scratching it, you can just play it

I feel the same way about used basses.  If it's a bass I really want, it doesn't bother me if it is scratched up.  My problem is an inability to find good deals on used basses in time.  It seems someone always beats me to the draw on that.

The Victory Standard gets my vote for the worst bass Gibson ever made... and that statement covers some acreage. I had one once, paid a little under $200 on eBay and regretted it. I flipped it for about $350 and my conscience bothered me beyond belief. Find a pawnshop thats had one on their wall for a couple of years and you'll get it for a lot less than this one.

I got a red Artist when they first came out. Played it for 6 months or so. It was cool but i traded it in on a Steinberger.

But you can a real nice Carvin on ebay pretty cheap. And they're darn good basses too.

I agree, I meant that it's crazy to pay for just about any bass at new prices when the same great bass can be had for 40-50% less and near mint.

look at Alembic, pay $9000 new and resell it for $5000 if you are lucky.
