It's one reason I subsidize cases for my basses.  Close to 50 shipped and not a penny spent on shipping materials except for tape and labels.  Around $1000 in savings by my estimate...close to the price of a 1993 Hamer 12.

Stopped by Sam Ash to give the G-3 a try, since it was on a lower hanger and within easy reach. That bass is amazing!
Marked down to $849 plus tax. Apparently Gibson has already discontinued it.
